GA Drilling will be actively present at SPE Offshore Europe 2015 in Aberdeen, UK, 8-11 September.
SPE Offshore Europe is the largest upstream oil and gas event outside North America, and over the past 40 years this event has built up a proud heritage and platform for the industry to meet, discuss and debate the latest issues in Europe and beyond.
The theme of the conference is How to Inspire the Next Generation; which means seeking the new ways to address both technical and people challenges facing oil and gas business today. Innovative products and services will be showcased by more than 1 500 exhibiting companies.
On 10 September 2015, GA Drilling will deliver presentation Use of plasma-based tool for plug and abandonment in Forbes Room, scheduled time is 10.30am. The 175431 SPE Conference Paper is a part of Technical Session 08: Decommissioning of Wells and Pipelines.
There are continuous discussions over asset retirement as industry surveys confirm that more than £40 billion will need to be spent decommissioning idle offshore oil and gas infrastructure over coming decades. When the international activity of this nature is considered, the vast scale of the challenges becomes even more apparent. There are many technical and process challenges to be overcome as the industry strives to increase efficiency, drive collaboration and reduce costs.
