Your job will be:

  • Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) of the Plasma Drilling Bits designs (newtonian & non-newtonian fluid dynamics, mixtures of liquids and gases, sub-critical and supercritical fluids)
  • Stress analysis of the Plasma Drilling Bits (the effect of weight on the bit, different CTEs, mechanical shocks from drilling, environmental pressure & temperature effects, etc.)
  • Optimization of the Plasma Drilling Bits based on the performed analysis (cooling system of the Drill Bit, drilling fluid and plasma nozzles geometry, materials selection, etc.)
  • Writing analysis reports
  • Risk assessment of the designed tools & operational procedures

We will be glad to know you, if you have:

  • Technical university degree, specialisation – fluid engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering
  • Fluent English
  • Ability to get through the depth of a technical problem
  • Innovative approach to a device construction
  • Demonstrable industrial experience of the application of CFD (ANSYS Workbench, CFX and Fluent or OpenFOAM) or experimental techniques in hydrodynamics to enable project success
  • Experiences in both CFD and Stress analysis is a key differentiator
  • Knowledge and experience in analysis of EM fields is a high advantage
  • Work experience in R&D team at least within one of these areas: optimization of design of drill bits for Oil&Gas by performing CFD/Stress analysis, optimization of design of the High power (up to 500 kW) devices with embedded cooling system by performing CFD/Stress analysis, optimization of design of devices that work continuously at temperatures higher than 500 C by performing CFD/Stress analysis, optimization of design of cutting/welding or waste processing plasma torches by performing CFD/Stress analysis
