Igor Kocis, CEO of GA Drilling was chosen as a representative of the progressive technology Slovak entrepreneurs among speakers at Horizon 2020 conference (descendant of EU’s FP7), which took place on 21st and 22nd January 2014 in Bratislava, Slovakia. Horizon 2020, worth at least €70 billion is the new EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. Mr. Kocis offered an insights from business point of view into pool of opportunities generated by Horizon 2020.

The official launch of Horizon 2020 in Slovakia was performed with key-note speeches by Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science and Mr. Štefan Chudoba, State Secretary for Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic.

The new EU Programme for Research and Innovation – Horizon 2020 offers new funding and networking opportunities for Research & Innovation organizations and SMEs across the EU Member States.

GA Drilling is actively engaging in Horizon 2020 through project development of own initiatives in drilling & material research in order to build competitive industrial R&D within the European Research Area.
