Offshore Well Intervention (OWI 2015) organises an expert forum for well intervention specialists, 16th April, Aberdeen UK. Tomas Kristofic, CTO will share PLASMABIT Milling achievements with experts in New Well Intervention Technology Section, expected slot at 3.30pm.

The European well intervention market is extremely dynamic due to maturity of installations in the North Sea and constraints over unprofitable production in the low oil price environment. The need for more suppliers to deliver efficiency and prove economic sustainability has created an emerging intervention market.

OWI 2015 speaker line-up include recognized intervention topic experts acting as O&G operators, well service companies, vessel owners, and regulatory agencies. List of speakers counts with representatives from Total, BG Group, Wintershall and Repsol introducing recent platform campaigns, well suspension projects and operator case studies. From the well service perspective, Baker Hughes or Schlumberger demonstrate how they seek project efficiency and improvement in well intervention operations.

The objective of OWI 2015 is to bring these communities together, and through the sharing of experience, ensure that all actors are able to maximise their intervention efficiency. The industry is consistent with the opinion that decommissioning operations such as well abandonment shall be coordinated on the various fields where possible.
